CUSTOMS PROCEDURES SINCE BREXIT

Since brexit we now have new rules and procedures to follow, below are a few guides on how this works

UK TO SPAIN

1:

We need a full list of all the items prior to shipping so we can get our custom agents to arrange all the paperwork so we can pass through the Uk and Spanish ports smoothly with no problems.

 2:

We need an origanal copy of your NIE number and also a copy of your passport

 3:

To clear customs we have to go via a Brithish and a Spanish customs agent which costs approx £200.00 for each declaration , we arrange all this and payment is made via us.

4:

You have to pay 20% of the value of your goods (ie: goods worth £1000 = you have to pay £200.00) to the Spanish customs so your goods can enter the country with full clearance. We organise and declare this for you and you make the payment via us.

SPAIN TO UK

5:

We use customs agents in Spain and Uk to clear your goods which also costs approx £200.00 for each declaration, we arrange all this and payment is made via us.

6:

To avoid paying 20% to the Uk customs you (we can't do this for you) need to go on the Gov.uk website and fill in a TOR1 form(TRANSFER OF RESIDENCE) this is free and quite easy to do and saves you having to pay import duty of 20% for the value of the goods

7:

We need a copy of your passport and your Tor1 reference number to clear customs, no TOR1 means 20% payment for the value of the goods so its well worth doing this.

8:

Prior to moving we do a full inventory of the goods and send this to our agents to get us the clearance in Spain and the Uk.
